Greek Studies Program for Adults
Commencing from the Second School Term, the Greek Orthodox Community of Oakleigh and Districts will run an evening class for adults, as a supplement to the Greek Studies Program offered at the Day Bilingual College “Sts Anargiri” and the Saturday School.
The evening Greek Studies Program for Adults is aimed at people we wish to refresh or expand their knowledge of the Greek language, as well as be introduced to major periods of Greek history, and be acquainted with aspects of Greek culture, which forms the bedrock of Western Civilisation.
The class will be held on Friday evenings, 6.30 to 8.30 pm, during the period 24 April to 26 June 2009, at the Sts Anargiri College Library, 77-81 Willesden Rd., Oakleigh.
For this period there will be no attendance fees, so as to provide the opportunity for those attending the class to assess whether it meets their expectations. In the Second Semester a small fee will be charged to cover running expenses.
The Greek Studies Program for Adults is offered under the auspices of the Consulate General of Greece in Melbourne and its Office for Education.
