To preserve teach and propagate in uncorrupted form the Orthodox Christian Faith and Traditions in conformity with the doctrine, canons, administrative rulings, discipline, divine worship, usages and customs as formulated in accordance with Holy Scriptures and the Sacred Traditions of the Orthodox Faith as set by the Seven Encyclicals of the Ecumenical Patriarchate of Constantinople and of the Archdiocese and by the resolutions of the local Synods approved by the Ecumenical Councils of and as interpreted by the said Ecumenical Patriarchate.
To preserve the original Greek language of the Gospel and to build the religious and moral life of members through and by the word of God, by instruction in Sunday School and by the ministrations of duly ordained clergymen approved and recognised by the Archdiocese.
To preserve the high traditions of the Bible in the original Greek and under the guidance of the Archdiocese and to strengthen the religious and moral life of members of the said Church by:
a) conducting Sunday Schools of Catechism;
b) appropriate teachings and books;
c) proper Holy Services conducted by the duly appointed clergy;
d) the acceptance into the Orthodox Christian Faith and Church by Holy Baptism and into family life by marriage according to the teachings and traditions of the said Church;
e) burial according to the ritual and Holy traditions of the said Church;
f) the practice of charity and assistance of all objects for the common good according to the Orthodox Christian Faith.
To do and perform all acts and things necessary to be done and performed so as to ensure:
a)that any Church of the Community shall at all times be open for public worship and that the same shall never be closed except with the unanimous approval of the members of the Community and with the written consent of the Archbishop for the time being of the Archdiocese;
b) that no services of any nature or kind are carried οn in any such church except by a duly ordained Clergyman approved by the said Archdiocese and acknowledged by the said Archdiocese as entitled to perform such services.
Το promote the religious and moral education of the members of the Community.
Το organise schools for the teaching of the Greek language and the Catechism and dogma of the Greek Orthodox Church to children and generally to other members of the Greek Orthοdοx Church.
Tο conduct, promote, give or support dinners, balls, concerts and musical dramatic and other social entertainments for the benefit of members of the Community and others.
Το promote and provide information οn subjects of interest to members of the Community and others by lectures, discussions, books, correspondence with persons and/or firms and companies or otherwise.
Το arrange functions of all kinds and raise funds by all means for charitable purposes.
Το render such financial and other assistance as the Community shall think fit for the relief of persons in necessitous circumstances.
Το develop and maintain a community spirit and to promote a closer association amongst the members of the Community.
Το promote and maintain a closer friendship between the members of the Community and Australians generally.
Το make representation to the Local, State and Federal Governments and various laws relevant to the objects of the Community including but not restricted to immigration, education, investment, export and import, trade and tourism.
Το encourage understanding of Australian cultural institutions, customs and conventions in order to assist the integration of Mediterranean visitors and migrants into the Australian Community.
Το assist generally in the advancement of the Mediterranean region and the settlement of migrants from αll countries.
Το organise, sponsor, finance and promote sports teams, visiting groups and educational exchanges.
Το promote the objects of the Community by any means whatsoever and without in any way limiting the generality of the foregoing.
Το publish and distribute all forms of books, joumals, papers, newsletters, circulars, invitations, cards, forms, pictures απd photographs.
Το hold and organise lectures οn matters of interest, debates, plays, films, demonstrations, competitions, dinners and other activities.
Το establish, furnish and equip reading rooms and libraries and to develop services and facilities to assist the furtherance of the objects of the Community.
Το purchase, take οn lease or in exchange or otherwise to acquire any lands, buildings, easements οr property, real or personal which may be requisite for the purpose of or conveniently used in connection with any of the objects of the Community or its grounds, buildings and activities and to sell, demise, mortgage, give in exchange or dispose of the same.
Το amalgamate with any other organisation, institution οr association having all or any of its or their objects similar to those of the Community and whose memorandum of association prohibits the distribution of its οr their income and property amongst its or their members to the extent at least as great as that imposed upon the Community under or by virtue of the rules.
Το raise money by all lawful means and to solicit, receive and enlist financial or other support from individuals, trusts, companies, corporations, associations, societies, institutions and other organisations or authorities and to conduct fund raising campaigns.
Το accept subscriptions grants, guarantees, gifts and donations whether of real οr personal property and whether or not subject to any trusts or conditions. Provided that in case the Community shall take or hold any property which may be subject to any trusts the Community shall only deal with the same in such manner as is allowed by law having regard to such trusts.
Το invest and deal with the moneys of the Community not immediately required for any of its objects upon such securities and in such manner as may from time to time be determined.
Το boτrow or raise and give security for money by the issue of or upon bonds, debentures, bills of exchange, promissory notes or other obligations or securities of the Community or by mortgage or charge upon all or any part of the property (both present and future) of the Community.
